BizArt Conference: Artists in Business

March 10, 2010

The BizArt Conference will be March 26 & 27

Location: Edmonds Community College, Brier Hall, Edmonds, WA

Website: www.bizartinfo.com

The BizArt Conference is an annual artist led event all about the business of being an artist.  $99 to register before March 24th, $129 at the door includes two full days of workshops and presentations, along with a breakfast snack and lunch each day.

Workshops include Website Basics 101, Jump Starting Creativity, New Media Marketing, PR for People, Tax Tips for Artists and much more.  This is a great opportunity to get solid info that you need but in a FUN way.  The networking opportunity alone is substantial all by itself.

There is a keynote address during the lunch the first day and a panel during lunch the second day.  The panel will be about creating your own venue which will include a self-published author and myself (as an arts conference organizer/exhibitor/comedian artist/teacher AKA “Slash Artist”) among others.   Also, note that any class taught by Ray Pfortner is worth it’s weight in gold because he gives more info than most teachers have ever thought of.

Last year, one of my workshops was voted as a top class.  I was very pleased to know that the info I presented was useful to the artists in my class.   It just doesn’t get any better than this!
